Tuotetiedot
For three years the Canadian-born Finnish photographer and ceramic artist Gary Wornell delved into the incredibly rich, living and diverse handicraft traditions of Nepal: Buddhist statues, thangka-fabrics, drums, hand made paper… Traditional methods and exquisite craft skills live on in the artisan quarters of Kathmandu as well as elsewhere in this country, where modernization is rapidly taking place. The destructive earthquake of spring 2015 gave the book project a new overtone: it all could have disappeared in seconds.
